Anomaly Dance Tutors
Jay and Sydney Pelman

Sydney and Jay Pelman are the founders of Anomaly Dance Studio, which they opened in 2015. Both are self-taught street hip hop dancers, with Sydney’s childhood dream being to own her own dance studio, while Jay was inspired to pursue dance through movies and his favourite music artists. They both believe in providing a safe space for students to come and be themselves, and they encourage young ones to pursue their dance dreams no matter how big or small. Sydney and Jay believe that passion and hard work will get you wherever you want to go and they love passing this attitude for dance and life on to their students.

Willow Thomsen
Kia Ora! My name is Willow Thomsen, I’ve been a part of the hip-hop dance scene since I was 8 years old and haven’t stopped since! I’ve been a student at Anomaly dance studio for
over 5 years now and have recently become a teacher last year. I’ve competed in competitions like HHU, Impact, Battlegrounds and many more. Hip Hop is such a big part of
my life, helping me learn more about myself, so being able to spread my knowledge and passion for dance with others is such a privilege.
